Rules

1. Play by dates:
Round 1: 23:00 on 29th of September;
Quarter-final: 23:00 on 27th of October;
Semi-final: 23:00 on 21st of November;
Final will take place at 19:00 on 22nd of November.

2. Entries will be limited to 16 players with up to 4 players seeded by the organisers and the rest placed at random.

3. Event will run only if a minimum of 16 entries is reached.

4. Final match is scheduled for 19:00 on 22nd of November, on a court booked by the organisers. In the event that one of the finalists is unable to participate in the scheduled final match, they will forfeit their place. Consequently, their opponent from the semi-final match will advance to play in the final. This policy aims to ensure that the final match proceeds as scheduled.

5. The organisers reserve the right to move the date of the final if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances. Participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible and the forfeiting rule (as described above) will apply for the the rescheduled final match.

6. Matches can be played on any surface.

7. All participants have to have booking rights at peak times at DL Raynes Park

8. Matches from Semi-Finals onwards might include an umpire assigned by the system who will resolve conflicts with line calling and scores and will be streaming the match score as it progresses using UmpireCast facility.

9. The player whose name comes first in the match draw will be responsible for providing a set of good tennis balls (Wilson US Open, Head Tour or equivalent). Organisers will provide a new set of tournament grade balls for Semi-Finals onward.

10. There are no late cancellations, no-shows etc, only the completed match score should be entered. If a player has to step down for an injury, the opponent will progress further.

11. Both players must enter the completed score for the result to be accepted by the system. Any match for which the score is not entered by both players by the play-by date will be defaulted according to system rules.

12. System will default the match randomly choosing one the following outcomes based on a weight: 1 - player 1 wins, 1 - player 2 wins, 3 - both players are disqualified with competing branch's winner progressing to the next stage.

13. Matches consist of two sets, each up to 6 games, with a short tie-break (played to 7 points with a 2-point lead) if the score reaches 6-all in games.

14. If the match is tied at one set each, a match tie-break (played to 10 points with a 2-point lead) is played to decide the winner. A full third set is not played.

15. Deuces are played out in the standard format, without the application of sudden death rules.
